Job Description

As a Per Diem Pharmacist working primarily in a retail pharmacy setting, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires attention to detail in prescription review and health record updating while providing minimal patient interaction. The schedule is weekdays only with on-call availability as needed, utilizing pharmacy management software and electronic health records to support daily operations.

Responsibilities

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently

Counsel patients on medication use and safety, with minimal direct contact

Review prescriptions for completeness and accuracy

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality assurance standards

Update and maintain patient health records

Utilize pharmacy management software and electronic health records

Required Qualifications

Valid Pharmacist State License

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in pharmacy

Strong pharmaceutical knowledge

Proficient in prescription processing

Effective patient communication skills

High attention to detail

Familiarity with PrimeRX is a plus
