Electrical Engineer, PE (relocation )

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, licensed Electrical Engineer to take a senior leadership role within a collaborative, multidisciplinary architecture and engineering environment. This position is ideal for a PE who enjoys owning building electrical design from concept through construction while mentoring others and helping shape the growth of an electrical engineering practice.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design of power, lighting, and data systems for building projects.

• Develop electrical specifications and construction documentation.

• Serve as the licensed electrical authority and take ownership of electrical project scope from start to finish.

• Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, mechanical, and plumbing teams.

• Conduct site visits and support construction administration, including submittal reviews and RFI responses.

• Mentor junior staff and help establish standards and best practices for the electrical discipline.

What We're Looking For

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical); Virginia PE required or ability to obtain Virginia licensure through comity.

• 7+ years of professional experience in building electrical design.

• Demonstrated experience designing power, lighting, and data systems and sealing drawings.

• Strong communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary coordination skills.

• AutoCAD and Revit MEP experience preferred.

• Experience with lighting design, emergency power, generators, life-safety systems, or institutional buildings is a plus.
