Job Description

A local manufacturer in Sumter, SC is seeking experienced Welders to join the team. This is a full-time position with overtime opportunities.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Overtime and some weekends required

Pay:

$15.50 – $18.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions

Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding processes based on project needs

Weld, install metal sheeting, and other components

Set up workstations and utilize weld fixtures

Follow setup and operator instructions when preparing and operating welding machines

Verify fixtures according to master parts or blueprints

Weld components at or above standard production rate

Follow all safety procedures and best practices

Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED preferred

1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing setting preferred

Current welding certification is a plus

Experience using power tools

Must pass an onsite weld test

Ability to work in hot or cold environments

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in awkward positions

Reliable transportation required

Must be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime and weekends
