high school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to hot/cold temperatures, and concrete floors.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1-2 years of experience in Quality Control in a manufacturing environment preferred (metal stampings, forming, and welding)

Ability to read and understand blue print specifications, customer, and regulatory requirements

Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Experience using measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gages, tape measure, and scales

Ability to perform first article, work in-progress, as well as final inspection with precise measurements to assure compliance with customer specifications

Ability to accurately and neatly complete required paperwork

Ability to evaluate incoming material according to specifications

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using units of dimension and weight measurements

Must have good organizational skills and a strong attention to detail

Knowledge of basic computer skills

Knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) is a plus

Basic understanding of ISO 9001 quality management principles
