Millwork Engineer

Description:

Create and update detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD and Microvellum software, transforming architects/designer’s intent into manufacturable products.

Create production packages for manufacturing, including programs for CNC cutting

When required, perform on-site field measurements, including with 3D laser templating equipment

Coordinate the efforts of either in-house and/or outsource drafting vendors as the department director requiresRequirements:

Minimum of a 2-year degree in related field preferred; experience may suffice in lieu of educational requirements

3-5 year of professional drafting experience preferred.

Proficient in reading blueprints and architectural drawings

High attention to detail with the ability to communicate intent through drawings

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team to coordinate multiple projects running simultaneously

Strong AutoCAD 2D skills

Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam

Knowledge of/experience with woodworking a plus

Microvellum experience a plus

Experience with CNC programming a plus
