Senior Grant Application Expert - Australian Charity (Remote, 20 hrs/week)

Dads Group is an Australian health promotion charity supporting new fathers and families in the perinatal period. We run peer-led community dads groups, Man With A Pram community walks, the DadConnect online program, and an Integrated Model of Care embedded in health services, working with hospitals, local government, and communities across Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia.

We are hiring an experienced grants professional to own our funding pipeline end to end.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Own our grants pipeline: a live register of 48+ opportunities across Australian government, council, philanthropic, and corporate funders, managed on Monday.com with an automated weekly scan feeding it;

• Turn an AI-assisted first draft into submit-ready applications: fact-check every figure and claim against our source documents, strengthen the case, and match each funder's language and criteria;

• Prepare submissions through funder portals (SmartyGrants, GrantConnect, council and foundation portals) for CEO approval;

• Track every application through to outcome: deadlines, follow-ups, results, and what we learn from wins and losses;

• Give the CEO a clear weekly picture that takes two minutes to read

• Work inside our systems: Claude (AI drafting and organizational knowledge), Monday.com (pipeline), Google Drive (source documents), Slack (communication)

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• 5–10 years writing and managing health grants or funding proposals for NGOs or charities, with won grants you can name: funder, program, amount, and year. A minimum of AUD $2 million in grants secured required

• Experience with Australian funders, or DFAT/AusAID-funded programs, or UK/USA equivalent government or philanthropic funding, is highly regarded

• GPC (Grant Professional Certified) or equivalent credential regarded

• Native-quality written English and a sharp editorial eye

• Mericulous with facts, figures, and eligibility criteria

• Experience managing submission portals and reporting deadlines

• Comfortable working with AI tools as a starting point, not a threat—the drafting engine exists; your value is judgement, verification, and management

• Remote, with at least 4 hours daily overlap with AEST
