What You'll Do
As a Safety Consultant & Trainer, you will serve as a trusted safety resource to clients and their teams while providing a broad range of professional safety services.
Responsibilities will include:
Conduct professional safety audits, inspections, assessments, and behavioral observations at client facilities and jobsites.
Identify hazards, regulatory exposures, unsafe conditions, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide practical recommendations and corrective/preventative action strategies.
Perform field assessments utilizing electronic safety management and inspection platforms.
Conduct employee orientations, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and formal safety training.
Develop and deliver training on topics including Fall Protection, PPE, Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, Electrical Safety, Ladder Safety, Scaffolding, Trenching & Excavation, Material Handling, Emergency Response, and other applicable safety requirements.
Assist with JHAs/JSAs, risk assessments, site-specific safety plans, and emergency response planning.
Assist with injury, incident, near-miss, property damage, and general liability investigations.
Evaluate existing safety programs and identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist clients with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and industry compliance requirements.
Communicate regulatory and safety program updates to client leadership and field personnel.
Coach and mentor employees, supervisors, and management teams.
Prepare professional audit reports, inspection findings, training documentation, safety correspondence, and corrective-action recommendations.
Participate in client meetings, project planning, safety meetings, and consulting engagements.
Provide a variety of field-based safety services across multiple markets and industries.
Travel to client locations as needed to provide onsite consulting, training, and safety support.
What We're Looking For
Required
CHST certification AND/OR a degree in a safety-related field
OSHA 500/501 Certification
3–5+ years of field-based safety experience
Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
Strong working knowledge of OSHA and applicable occupational safety regulations
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to confidently present safety training to employees and leadership
Demonstrated ability to positively influence field personnel and management
Ability to independently conduct safety audits, inspections, and assessments
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
Ability to travel to multiple client locations and markets
Ability to work flexible hours based on client and project requirements
Immediate availability
Preferred
BCSP certification such as ASP, CSP, or CHST
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred
Construction, industrial, manufacturing, data center, energy, power, or other high-hazard experience
Experience with OSHA Inspections and Investigations
Experience developing and delivering professional safety training
Experience with electronic safety management and inspection platforms
Experience developing JHAs/JSAs and site-specific safety plans
Experience conducting incident and root-cause investigations
Additional safety, environmental, or industry certifications
