Job Description
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for nurturing and educating a medium-sized class of 11-20 young children following the Creative Curriculum. This role involves planning engaging lessons, managing the classroom environment, assessing child development, and maintaining strong communication with parents. The teacher will regularly collaborate with other educators and occasionally supervise outdoor activities, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere that fosters early learning and development.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the Creative Curriculum
Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
Assess and monitor individual child development and behavior
Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom activities
Coordinate classroom activities and occasional outdoor supervision
Collaborate with fellow educators and specialists to support student growth
Ensure safety supervision during all classroom and outdoor activities
Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
MA EEC Preschool certified
2+ years experience in early childhood education
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Early Childhood Education and Child Development
Excellent communication skills
Creativity and patience in managing young learners
Ability to work collaboratively in a team
