TPSE Technician

We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Utility Staking Technician.

The ideal candidate will have experience in utility staking and layout, surveying, easements and right of way permitting coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform field surveys and staking for power line construction Work with GPS and GIS/GNSS tools

Utilize GPS to collect and record field data

Apply GIS software tools to draft and design utility infrastructure layouts

Work with landowners and team members to support construction planning

Assist in permitting and easement activities

Maintain and care for field tools and equipment

Travel to job sites across the region using company-provided vehicle and equipment

Support a variety of tasks based on project needs

The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions including wet and/or humid conditions

The employee will be required to wear safety-toe boots or hiking boots

Requirements:

2-4+ years of utility staking or electric utility field experience

Prior understanding of plats, right-of-way maps, and design/construction blueprints

Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record

Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as travel regularly

Comfortable walking on uneven terrain and lifting up to 50 lbs

Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn

Strong work ethic and professionalism

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
