Salary Range: $65,000 - $74,000/year
Status: Non-Exempt, negotiable
Reports to: Director of Operations
Shift: 10am - 6pm (7am - 3:30pm during training)
We’re seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to support daily operations at our Kendallville manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for assisting with machine operations, overseeing warehouse activities, and supporting personnel management for the Second Shift. You’ll work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure production efficiency, safety, and team performance.
This is a high-impact role ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, leadership potential, and a commitment to operational excellence.
This role comes with hands-on training and guidance from the multi-state BSMI production departments. The training period is 60 days long, and during this time the shift will be from 7am - 3:30pm. Once the training is completed, you will transition to your regular shift of 10am - 6pm.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Machine Operations
Assist in setup, operation, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment
Monitor production output and ensure adherence to quality standards
Support preventative maintenance and machine readiness
Identify and escalate equipment issues to management
Operate forklifts to load/unload trucks and move heavy materials around the warehouse
Warehouse & Inventory Management
Oversee receiving, storage, and staging of raw materials and finished goods
Ensure accurate inventory tracking and timely order fulfillment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Coordinate with shipping/receiving teams to meet delivery schedules
Personnel Support
Lead and support production team members on the floor
Assist with training new employees on equipment and safety procedures
Provide feedback and help enforce performance standards
Support staffing needs and shift coverage in coordination with the Plant Manager
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations
1+ years of experience in management
Extensive forklift experience
Familiarity with all-thread rod production or industrial fasteners preferred
Strong mechanical skills and comfort with machine operation
Leadership qualities and ability to motivate a team
Basic ERP or inventory system experience
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Commitment to effective and timely communication across department (production, warehouse, HR, management, customers, etc.)
General understanding of P&L statements
