Shift: 2nd Shift 5:00 PM start

About the Role

We're looking for a Sanitation Supervisor to lead second-shift sanitation operations in a food manufacturing environment. This position will oversee sanitation employees, ensure equipment and facilities meet food safety and

sanitation standards, and drive improvements in cleaning effectiveness, safety, and team performance.

Job Responsibilities

Lead, schedule, train, and develop sanitation employees

Oversee daily sanitation activities for production equipment and facility areas

Ensure compliance with GMPs, SSOPs, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures

Conduct sanitation and CIP audits and address deficiencies

Maintain and continuously improve plant sanitation programs

Monitor sanitation performance, quality standards, and department KPIs

Troubleshoot sanitation issues and implement corrective actions

Partner with Operations, Quality, and other departments to resolve sanitation concerns

Manage relationships with chemical suppliers and other sanitation vendors

Review and validate SSOPs following process or equipment changes

Promote safe chemical handling and maintain compliance with applicable safety requirements

Coach employees, provide performance feedback, and support corrective action when necessary

Requirements

2+ years of sanitation, food manufacturing, or closely related experience

Previous leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience

Knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, sanitation procedures, and food safety practices

Experience with industrial cleaning and sanitation processes

Understanding of chemical concentrations, dilutions, and safe chemical handling

Strong leadership, communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively across Production, Quality, and other plant departments

Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience and education considered

Preferred Experience

Sanitation leadership within dairy or food manufacturing

Clean-in-place (CIP) systems and sanitation verification

Chemical supplier/vendor management

Food manufacturing sanitation audits and regulatory compliance
