Role Description
Plan and design duct and MH systems that meet project specifications, safety standards, and client expectations
Work with clients to determine project scope
Obtain permits for projects and manage through design, construction, and as-built phases
Develop electrical underground utility construction systems and single-line diagrams
Attend project meetings (monthly, weekly, etc.)
Periodic travel to customer sites including vaults, MH, substations, and related facilities
Position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex projects while utilizing CAD and design tools in a collaborative environment
Education
BSEE, BSCE, or equivalent degree with emphasis on underground utility design, construction, and operation
Experience and/or training with major CAD systems (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) for designing underground electrical systems
Experience
10+ years designing underground low, medium, and high voltage electrical utility systems, including duct and MH systems, transformer vaults, cable, and related underground utility plant
Demonstrated knowledge of safety and operational procedures for working on and near energized facilities
Proficiency with NESC, NEC, and related codes and regulations
Effective written and verbal communication skills
