Roller Operator – Lead Heavy Civil Compaction for Adcamp Inc.
Job Overview:\nCompany: Adcamp Inc.\nLocation: Flowood, MS\nJob/Employment Type: Full Time.\nSchedule: Monday - Friday (Some Saturdays required).\nProject Scope: Commercial, Industrial, Government, and Federal.\nMandatory Licences & Certifications: None Required.\n The Opportunity: You will serve as a vital asset in field operations, operating heavy compaction equipment to ensure high-quality surfaces.
This role gives you the autonomy to execute precise rolling patterns while receiving the backing of a team that knows you by name.
You will directly impact infrastructure durability by consistently meeting strict density and surface finish requirements.
How You Will Make an Impact:\nOperate steel-wheel vibratory and pneumatic tire rollers to achieve specified density on asphalt lifts.\nExecute precise rolling patterns based on mix type, lift thickness, and temperature windows to prevent defects.\nMonitor mat temperatures closely and adjust roller proximity to the paver to optimize compaction.\nCoordinate daily with paver and screed operators to maintain consistent spacing and paving speeds.\nPerform thorough pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, including fluid levels and drum conditions.\nSupport nuclear density gauge testing and review site results directly with the project Foreman.\n Required Qualifications & Experience:\nMinimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating steel-wheel vibratory and pneumatic tire rollers.\nDemonstrated knowledge of asphalt compaction theory, breakdown patterns, and mix behavior.\nProven ability to safely maneuver heavy equipment and work productively within a team environment.\nStrong detail orientation with a track record of meeting density requirements without surface defects.\nAbility to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and handle equipment vibration.\n Preferred Qualifications & Experience:\nPrior experience operating specific equipment brands such as Hamm, Bomag, Dynapac, or Caterpillar.\nBasic understanding of field quality control procedures and nuclear density gauge operations.\nDemonstrated experience assisting with broader paving and site operations during rolling cycles.\n Compensation & Benefits:\nWeekly pay cycle with substantial overtime potential and annual performance bonuses.\n401(k) retirement savings program featuring competitive employer matching contributions.\nComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options for peace of mind.\nLife and disability insurance options along with a company-provided tech package.\nPaid time off including scheduled holidays, vacation, and sick leave.\nCompany vehicle, safety equipment, and access to annual corporate trips and outings.\n About Us: Adcamp Inc.
