The Shift Leader’s role is to manage the product, process, and people required to execute a shift.

This role has supervisory and decision-making power to assign tasks to team members and respond to guest complaints.

Setting shift goals and aligning processes and tasks to these goals is critical to success in this role.

The Shift Leader ensures their team is meeting benchmarks for success, takes care of issues with equipment, and is responsible for closing and opening tasks.

As a leader in the restaurant, the Shift Leader continuously trains and coaches team members to further develop skills and ensure procedural standards are met.
