Field Operator III

Compensation $66.15/hr (1099) Location Spring, TX 77389 Role supports field operations in West Texas, New Mexico, the Bakken/ND, and Oklahoma. Schedule 14 days on / 14 days off Target Start Date ASAP Scope The Field Operator III safely and efficiently operates production equipment and wells while applying established operating procedures and safety guidelines. This position supports daily production objectives, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, well surveillance, troubleshooting, and ongoing well-work operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and continuously monitor wells, production equipment, tank batteries, compressor stations, pipelines, and related facilities.

Identify abnormal conditions and implement corrective or optimization actions to maintain safe and reliable operations.

Perform routine equipment-care and minor maintenance activities.

Coordinate and monitor corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance work.

Monitor alarms, emergency systems, and emergency shutdown systems and immediately report any equipment that is out of service.

Provide detailed and accurate shift-change information to ensure operational continuity.

Record operational events, abnormal conditions, and deviations in the appropriate logbooks.

Collect product samples and perform basic field laboratory testing.

Provide current production rates, well conditions, and supporting facts related to producing problems.

Complete thorough well-problem diagnostics before requesting Well Work intervention.

Ensure wellheads and surface equipment are properly maintained before transferring responsibility to Well Work personnel.

Assist and support ongoing Well Work operations as needed.

Participate in toolbox meetings, safety meetings, emergency-response activities, and incident reporting.

Maintain clear communication with the Operations Shift Supervisor and the broader operations team.

Support daily housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security objectives.

Required Experience

Process operations experience in a non-refinery environment.

Upstream production experience beginning at the wellhead.

Production, midstream, tank battery, compressor station, pipeline, or comparable onshore field experience.

Experience working in or familiarity with operations in West Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, or the Bakken region of North Dakota.

Previous Field Technician or Field Operator experience.

Extensive knowledge of pipeline operations.

Strong understanding of safety and operations-management tools and processes.

Strong knowledge of emergency-preparedness procedures.

Knowledge of applicable regulations, project design specifications, and relevant commercial agreements.

Qualifications

Completed secondary education.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, and environmental performance.

Ability to work effectively within a rotational field-operations team.
