The Communications Assistant frames, creates and publishes compelling communications that shift the scale in favor of working people and their families to achieve social and economic justice.
Duties and Expectations
Designing literature to drive contract campaigns and internal campaigns
Creating and editing videos for contract campaigns, training resources, and other materials
Working directly with PAD department on designing, scheduling, and producing campaign needs (buttons, literature, radio, tv, mobile advertising, etc.)
Creating PowerPoint presentations and other digital design elements
Writing compelling narratives based on a variety of data sources
Working with a diverse group of Union Members and staff to deliver content on a variety of digital platforms like email, peer-to-peer texting, social media sites, and electronic newsletters
Writing public testimony & press releases
Developing and maintaining a strong list of press contracts
Ability to carry out assignments in a competent and timely manner while exhibiting high levels of professionalism
