Electrical Engineer in the Netherlands

Based: Netherlands

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience to join a dynamic engineering team based in the Netherlands. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional looking to launch or advance their career internationally within modern engineering operations. The successful candidate will work extensively with EPLAN software to design, document, and support electrical engineering projects.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent relevant qualification).

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of post-qualification experience in electrical design or engineering environments.

• Software Proficiency: Proven experience utilizing EPLAN for electrical schematic design and system documentation.

• Language Requirements: Must speak fluent Afrikaans (essential for team integration and candidate evaluation process) alongside strong professional English communication skills.

• Location: Willing and able to relocate to and work in the Netherlands.

• Strong technical aptitude with high attention to detail in EPLAN design work.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a structured approach to engineering challenges.

• Effective communication skills (Fluent Afrikaans and English).

• Adaptable, proactive, and willing to learn new European engineering standards

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prepare electrical control schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using EPLAN.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure compliance with client specifications and international electrical standards.

• Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), component schedules, and technical documentation.

• Assist in troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems where required.

• Review technical specs and perform quality checks on electrical engineering deliverables.

• Maintain up-to-date project documentation and adhere to safety and regulatory codes in force within Europe/Netherlands.
