Estimator (In-Office)

Location: Star, NC (in-office daily)

Compensation: $120,000 – $130,000 + full benefits

Overview

A growing commercial contractor is looking for an Estimator to join their team in Star, NC. This role is heavily involved in design-build work and requires someone who can take ownership of the estimating process from initial concept through final bid.

You will work directly with leadership and play a key role in shaping project direction through accurate cost analysis and value engineering.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects

Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings/specifications

Develop conceptual budgets and refine estimates as projects progress

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing

Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and scope development

Assist in preparing complete bid packages and proposals

Requirements

5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction

Experience with both conceptual and hard bid estimating

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs

Proficiency with Excel and estimating software

Ability to work full-time in-office in Star, NC
