Watteredge is looking for a motivated CNC Operator to join our growing Machine Shop team in Avon Lake, Ohio. If you have 1–3 years of CNC machining experience and enjoy working with precision equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you'll set up and operate CNC machines, produce high-quality components, inspect finished parts, and work alongside experienced machinists and engineers to continuously improve our manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do
Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and grinders to manufacture precision parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
Perform machine setups, change fixtures and tooling, and adjust tooling offsets.
Understand and edit G-Code and M-Code to optimize speeds and feeds when needed.
Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
Maintain tight tolerances while meeting quality and production expectations.
Work with engineers and supervisors to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or GED.
1–3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or grinders.
Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
Basic understanding of machining practices, tooling, fixturing, and offsets.
Mechanical aptitude and solid math skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
