CICS System Programmer

CICS System Programmer/Infrastructure Engineer - CICS SME

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery.

Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies

Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with clear communication

Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals

Hands-on experience performing CICS systems programming and problem resolution in a mainframe z/OS sysplexed operating system environment with "Intermediate-level" knowledge and understanding of both CICS and OEM products and how they interact. Ability to read CICS dumps and traces is a plus.

Thinks creatively to deliver solutions through continuous improvement

Knowledgeable across CICS Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Design (compliance, security), Connectivity (planning, securing)

Understanding in the following platform products and features within z/Series CICS: CICS Transaction Server, CICS Plex System Manager(CPSM, WUI), VSAM RLS, CICS Webservices(CWS, Sockets, IPIC, TCPIP), CICS Security(Keyring, Certificates, TLS, resource access, ACF2, RACF), USS (Unix Systems Services), CICS connectivity (LU6.2, MRO, ISC, CWS, Sockets, TCPIP, EXCI)

Knowledge of these OEM products: CAFC, SYSII, Mainview, Xpediter, Abend-aid/FX

Knowledge of SYSPLEX and CICSPLEX design, architecture, support
