We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the on-site execution of a 98-unit ground-up multi-family residential development in Dover, NH. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage day-to-day field operations while monitoring project budget, schedule, and quality. Working directly for the Owner/Developer, the Superintendent will serve as the primary on-site decision-maker and coordinator to maintain progress and deliver the project safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Coordination
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and consultants
Lead regular site meetings, including subcontractor coordination and owner updates
Schedule & Budget Management
Monitor construction schedule including sequencing trades and activities to minimize delays
Monitor project costs, track changes, and proactively resolve schedule or cost impact
Field Supervision
Maintain a consistent, professional on-site presence to supervise daily construction activities
Monitor work to ensure it meets quality standards and complies with relevant plans, specifications, and codes
Manage site logistics, material deliveries, and equipment coordination
Safety & Compliance
Enforce job site safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
Conduct safety meetings and ensure proper documentation is maintained
Quality Assurance & Closeout
Implement and maintain a robust quality control program
Support punch list completion and project closeout processes
Ensure timely completion of inspections, certifications, and occupancy requirements
Coordinate turnover documentation including warranties, manuals, and as-builts
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in on-site, hands-on construction management
Strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Procore construction management software platform
Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
Ability to solve constructability questions in real time with a hands-on approach
Experience operating site management equipment (Lull, Skid Steer)
