AWS Developer Certification / AWS Solutions Architect Certification

Need EX CareFirst or Healthcare Domian background Experience candidate

Job Title: Senior Java AWS Full Stack Developer

Location: Reston, Virginia - Hybrid role -Mostly remote (90%)

Candidate expected onsite: At least once every 3 months for PI Planning & Occasionally for team collaboration events

Duration: 12+ months Contract

Experience: 15+ Years

Client: CareFirst BCBS

Very Strong preference for candidates residing in the DMV area only.

2 rounds on Interviews: 1st Virtual & 2nd will be Onsite (May be required)

Primary objective is migrating existing Java-based applications from on-premises infrastructure to AWS.

Must Have:

70% backend and 30% front end

Strong Java Backend Development:

Java 17+ required (CareFirst is on Java 21)

Spring Boot, Spring Integration, REST API development & Microservices

AWS Experience (Mandatory)

Candidate must have strong hands-on AWS experience including:

AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)

Cloud migration

Deploying Java applications to AWS

AWS infrastructure

Migrating applications from on premises to cloud

Front End: Angular- Angular 16 or 17 will work. (CareFirst is on Angular 18)

Database Experience: Aurora PostgreSQL & MongoDB

Certifications:

AWS Developer Certification / AWS Solutions Architect Certification- Any one certification will work.
