Logistics Launch Engineer

Position Title: Logistics Launch Engineer Duration: Contract Location: Košice, Slovakia MISSION: The Logistics Launch Project Team Member ensures the smooth introduction of new products into serial production by aligning logistics, material flows, and supplier readiness with engineering and production requirements.

The role is responsible for preparing the end-to-end supply chain setup, executing launch and ramp-up activities, monitoring initial mass production deliveries, and proactively mitigating supply chain risks.

Operating at the interface of logistics, purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing, this position serves as a key supply chain contributor within project launch teams across the company.

Create Plan for Every Part including packaging, storage, and delivery frequency.

Update and validate MRP/ERP parameters for all new items.

Coordinate and execute the supply chain set-up for new suppliers Establish inbound and outbound delivery processes according to company standard.

Launch And Ramp-Up Execution: Coordinate demand inputs from customers and engineering teams to ensure line qualification, customer delivery Resolve delivery disruptions and coordinate expedited logistics.

Support production with material availability during all build phases.

Communicate with OEM customers and 3PL providers to ensure supply chain readiness Implement layout changes and define material handling standards for new parts.

Track and report launch KPIs such as inventory accuracy and delivery adherence.

Validate packaging performance and implement improvements after trial runs.

First Mass Production Delivery Follow-Up: Align ramp-up planning with demand planning and S&OP cycles.

Confirm inventory accuracy and planning parameter stability post-launch.

Monitor ramp-up volumes and safety stock performance.

Lead resolution of any ongoing supplier or logistics issues after SOP.

Transition planning responsibilities to serial production team with formal handover.

Document launch learnings and update process standards.

Risk Identification And Cross-Functional Coordination: Identify potential risks such as long lead times, or engineering delays.

Establish contingency plans for critical components.

Participate in program reviews and present supply chain readiness status.

Finalize open items from launch with risk logs and closure actions.
