Electrical CAD Technician

Position: Electrical CAD Technician

Compensation: $ 27 - 28 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical CAD Technician to join their team!

This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented CAD professional to support substation design work within a collaborative engineering environment. You'll help produce accurate drawings and documentation for electrical projects while contributing to a team focused on quality, precision, and continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Create and update electrical CAD drawings for substation projects

Support networks, integrations, and automation design efforts

Use Bluebeam to review and mark up project documents

Prepare clear drawings and supporting documentation

Work with Microsoft Office applications for project-related tasks

Maintain accuracy and consistency across all deliverables

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Associate's degree in a CAD-related program with a 3.0 GPA or higher

Or specialized CAD certification plus 2 years of drafting experience

Experience using CAD software

Working knowledge of Bluebeam

Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Ability to work from Columbus, Ohio

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

Experience with electrical or substation drafting

Exposure to networks, integrations, or automation projects

Previous experience in an engineering or technical environment

Strong interest in developing CAD expertise
