The Procurement Planner II is responsible for inventory control of large vendor accounts. They monitor inventory daily basis and cut PO monthly. The Procurement Planner schedules both air and ocean shipment and manages lowest freight cost to bring goods to destination. In addition, they monitor demand change and communicate with sales team and adjust inventory. Escalate any demand change or issues which require manager's assistance for negotiations with internal or external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Create and manage part numbers in ERP system
Prepare and enter internal and external purchase orders
Data entry for Inter-company orders
Enter transfer orders
Process drop ship invoices
Filing and/or scanning of documents
Create work order and handle light assembly of OEM product and sales samples
Assist warehouse in re-packaging, re-labeling, re-counting products when necessary
Data entry and tracking of shipping advice, promise dates from vendors, etc.
Promise date update on the purchase orders
Track the order (P/O) status with vendors and couriers/forwarders
Address inquiries from Sales team to manufactures
Inventory management of assigned products
Generate reports for managers when necessary
Negotiate with manufactures to achieve better cost of products and services
Negotiate rates with couriers and freight forwarders
Train other members of the department
Come up with solutions and consult with managers to implement it
