Associate DesignerProduct Developer

Job Description

We are seeking an organized, fast-paced Associate Designer / Product Developer to join our team on-site in Vernon, CA. This role handles digital asset creation, line sheet management, garment costing, and supply chain tracking from concept through production.

Please note: This position is focused purely on product development logistics, data tracking, and digital CAD layouts. This role does not involve running fit sessions or correcting pattern makers.

Key Responsibilities

Create and revise CAD artwork, colorways, and digital design layouts based on buyer and sales requests.

Maintain product specification sheets, line sheets, and comprehensive technical documents (OE, PLM, etc.).

Prepare detailed costing sheets for production to analyze garment expenses and meet target profit margins.

Track production timelines daily to guarantee sample and production deadlines are met on time.

Manage sample development logistics, tracking sample arrivals, approvals, and physical organization.

Source and organize production fabrics, trims, prints, and artwork files.

Communicate daily with sales, design, the in-house sewing room, and overseas importers to quickly resolve daily timeline or material bottlenecks.

Maintain precise archival records of style numbers, technical revisions, and production details.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: 1 to 3 years of professional experience in apparel product development or design assisting.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, and PLM software systems.

Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of line sheet data management and garment components (fabrics/trims).

Traits: Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and strict attention to detail.

Communication: Strong professional communication skills required for daily factory and importer interaction.
