Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Mid Coast, unspecified state

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 11A - 11P, Days, with every other weekend possibly required.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Department, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for patients. This position is critical in a fast-paced environment, requiring a blend of assessment skills, clinical knowledge, and the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies.

Responsibilities:

Delivering high-quality nursing care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.

Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care across a diverse patient population.

Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Collaborating with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Providing patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

4-5 years of nursing experience in an emergency department setting.

Current RN license in the state of practice.

BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI (or MOAB), and NIHSS certifications are mandatory before starting the position.

Charge experience is preferred.
