CHCW is looking for a quality, ambitious, and enthusiastic Controller to join our team in Yakima. This is a great opportunity to join as a key leader of the accounting team. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday. You will perform various corporate accounting systems, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, internal controls, and grant/contracts tracking and compliance. Recommends, implements, and evaluates procedures and systems to ensure maximum efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of accounting information and processing of financial obligations and safeguarding of corporate assets.

Position Highlights:

Overall accounting function to include payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, cash management, and Grants.

Developing, monitoring and maintaining of annual budgets.

Completing monthly management reports and annual cost reports.

Developing, documenting, communicating, and monitoring internal controls and accounting procedures.

Managing the General Ledger (GL) and the GL Chart of Accounts.

Managing the preparation of external audits and tax info requirements.

Knowledgeable of Not for Profit entities and appropriate financial requirements.

Attending educational seminars to further understand the changing guidelines in health care, grant accounting, GAAP, and technologies when requested.

Manages and supervises the accounting team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CPA preferred.

Minimum of six (6) years of professional accounting experience which includes 2 years of supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge of not-for profit healthcare industry strongly preferred.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.

Experience with ERP Systems.

Ability to work effectively as a team member

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Extremely organized with strong investigative and follow-up skills as well as attention to details

Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
