About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our growing business operations in Japan. The HRBP will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving people strategies that align with organizational objectives while fostering a high-performance and employee-centric culture.
This role requires a strong understanding of Japanese labor laws, talent management, employee relations, organizational development, and stakeholder management within a multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
● Partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals.
● Provide guidance on workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational design.
● Drive employee engagement initiatives and support culture transformation programs.
● Manage employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and investigations.
● Advise managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices while ensuring compliance with Japanese labor laws.
● Support compensation, benefits, and rewards programs in collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence.
● Lead talent management processes including performance reviews, career development, and leadership development initiatives.
● Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to support business decision-making.
● Partner with regional and global HR teams to implement HR programs and initiatives.
● Facilitate change management activities during organizational transformations and business growth.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
● 5 - 10 years of HR experience with at least 2+ years as an HR Business Partner.
● Strong knowledge of Japanese labor laws, employment regulations, and HR practices.
● Experience supporting senior leadership and business stakeholders.
● Proven expertise in employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
● Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
● Business-level English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience working in IT, Technology, Engineering Services, Consulting, or Global Enterprises.
● Exposure to regional or global HR operations.
● Experience supporting organizational transformation and change management initiatives.
● HR certifications are a plus.
