Our client, a global leader in consumer products and digital transformation, is seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer – Data Security to join the Global Data Security & Protection Team within the Cyber Fusion Center.

This role focuses on developing scalable automation, security applications, and engineering solutions that protect enterprise data and reduce cybersecurity risks across a global organization.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on security engineer who enjoys solving complex security challenges through coding, automation, and collaboration with cybersecurity and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance automation tools and scalable software solutions supporting enterprise data security initiatives.

Build security-focused applications using:

Python

JavaScript

Java

C++

C#

Support enterprise security initiatives including:

Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

Cloud data protection

Data classification

Encryption

Access governance

Data security monitoring

Integrate APIs and automation solutions to collect and analyze KPIs/KRIs.

Improve security operations efficiency through automation and engineering solutions.

Work within modern software development environments, including:

CI/CD pipelines

Cloud platforms

Containerized environments

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including:

Security Operations

Enterprise Architecture

Legal

Privacy

Platform Engineering Teams

Create and maintain technical documentation, including:

System design documents

Architecture diagrams

Data flow documentation

Identify vulnerabilities and implement security improvements across enterprise applications and platforms.

Required Qualifications

4+ years of experience in:

Cybersecurity

Software Development

Computer Engineering

Application Security

Strong programming experience with:

Python

JavaScript

Experience with data security technologies such as:

Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)

Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)

Data Security Posture Management (DSPM)

Privileged Access Management (PAM)

Hands-on experience with security-focused application development.

Experience with object-oriented programming languages:

Experience with cloud platforms:

AWS

Microsoft Azure

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Experience with:
