Budget Analyst (Recent Graduate)
As a Budget Analyst (Recent Graduate), you will perform the following duties:
Translates organizational needs and objectives, by line item and object class into budget dollars and the funding actions required to accomplish them. Works with senior Budget Analysts to forecast budget operations and associated justifications on a regular predetermined cycle.
Provides information and assistance to program managers on matters such as the requirements and acceptability of routine budget documents in accordance with prescribed formats, templates and guidance. Prepares background material for use in briefing officials as it relates to an organization's budget.
Provides guidance on budgeting and related information to conduct analyses, reviews and special studies of assigned areas of an organization's budget or related information. Compiles narrative and statistical material to prepare supporting documentation concerning an assigned budget for use in briefing higher level officials.
Provides financial information to program managers to identify a need for reprogramming funds and make recommendations. Assists in preparing supporting data, documentation, narrative and quantitative budget justification estimates and statements for supervisor review in accordance with operating procedures.
