Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Wilmore, KY 40390

Duration: On-call basis

Work Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Administer and document oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and topical medications.

Maintain adequate supply of medications and treatment materials.

Monitor and record vital signs: temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration.

Perform medical treatments such as:

Dressing changes, Catheter irrigations, Wound care, Enemas, First aid

Specimen collection

Assist residents with daily living activities:

Grooming, Toileting, Dining, Escorting to medical appointments

Transcribe physician orders and document on nursing/medical forms.

Review medication and treatment sheets for accuracy and completeness.

Participate in care planning, nursing rounds, and rehabilitation/restorative programs.

Follow policies and procedures related to safety, infection control, orientation, and education services.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Frequent walking, bending, stooping, and stretching.

Must be flexible to work overtime.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

least one year of long term care experience
