Daycare Director

District Childcare Center Manager

Primary Purpose: Direct and manage the operations of the district childcare center. Plan and implement operations and program following the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) and district guidelines.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification: High school diploma or hold a General Educational Development (GED) certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills: Thorough understanding of childcare center operations Effective organizational, communication, computer, and interpersonal skills Ability to coordinate center functions Ability to implement policy and procedures Demonstrated knowledge of state childcare guidelines and licensing requirements Ability to manage budget and personnel

Experience: Two years experience in a licensed childcare center
