Job Description

The Scituate School Department seeks a reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Custodian to support the cleanliness, maintenance, security, and overall appearance of district facilities. The successful candidate will help provide a safe, healthy, and welcoming learning environment for students, staff, families, and community members by performing custodial, maintenance, and facility support duties.

Technology and Communication

Utilize district technology systems to support daily operations, communication, maintenance, and facility management. Enter, update, and monitor maintenance requests using the district work order management system. Utilize facility scheduling software to support building use, event preparation, and coordination of facility resources. Access and respond to district email and electronic communications in a timely manner. Maintain accurate electronic records related to maintenance activities, inspections, inventory, and facility operations. Demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn and effectively use new technologies, software applications, and operational systems as adopted by the district.
