Fabrication Technician (Assembly or Welding)

Job Description

Location: Raymond, OH

Pay: $22–$26/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Fabrication Technician to support metal fabrication and welding operations in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in automotive technology and fabrication who is eager to grow their skills in welding, prototyping, and advanced manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Support the fabrication of brackets, fixtures, and prototype components

Operate basic fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, and shears

Assist with part preparation, fit-up, and finishing processes

Learn and safely perform basic MIG and TIG welding (training provided)

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Follow detailed instructions and collaborate with team members to meet project goals

Required Qualifications

1+ year of relevant hands-on or mechanical experience

Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in automotive or fabrication work

Experience using common hand tools; willingness to learn welding and fabrication techniques

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail

Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office, data entry)

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a positive, coachable attitude

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

Automotive, shop, or technical school background

Exposure to welding, fabrication, or machining

Familiarity with CAD software or 3D printing

Previous experience in automotive service, manufacturing, or as a hobbyist
