A leading Bermuda law firm is seeking an exceptional Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Dispute Resolution team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced litigation lawyer with significant contentious restructuring and insolvency expertise and strong court advocacy skills to play a key role in the continued growth of a leading offshore practice.

This strategic appointment offers the successful candidate the opportunity to help build and shape a growing restructuring and insolvency disputes practice while advising on complex, high-value, cross-border litigation.

The firm has recently entered into a strategic international alliance, creating enhanced opportunities for cross-border collaboration, international referrals, and multi-jurisdictional restructuring and insolvency disputes. The successful candidate will join at an exciting stage in the firm's development, with genuine scope to help grow and shape the practice over the coming years.

The Opportunity

Lead complex contentious restructuring and insolvency matters.

Represent clients in the Bermuda courts on significant commercial disputes.

Handle high-value litigation involving liquidations, receiverships, schemes of arrangement, shareholder disputes, fraud, asset recovery, and insolvency-related proceedings.

Manage matters from inception through to trial and appeal where appropriate.

Work closely with partners on complex cross-border disputes.

Mentor and develop junior members of the litigation team.

Contribute to business development initiatives and assist in expanding the firm's restructuring and insolvency disputes practice.

About You

10+ years' post-qualification experience (PQE).

An accomplished commercial litigator with substantial contentious restructuring and insolvency experience.

Strong court advocacy experience and confidence appearing before superior courts.

Proven experience managing complex, high-value commercial litigation.

Experience gained at a leading London, offshore, Commonwealth, or international law firm.

Commercially minded with excellent client relationship management skills.

Experience developing business and professional referral networks.

A collaborative leader with experience mentoring junior lawyers.

Ambition to progress towards partnership.

Preferred Experience

UK Barrister or solicitor advocate qualification, or equivalent advocacy experience.

Offshore litigation experience in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, BVI, or the Channel Islands.

Dual qualification or experience within Commonwealth jurisdictions such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or South Africa.

Background at a Magic Circle, Silver Circle, leading disputes boutique, or recognised offshore litigation practice.
