Our client is looking for Driver Control Clerk who is responsible for the day-to-day control, dispatch and accountability of drivers across the company's regional trucking operations.

Maintain live control and visibility of all drivers on and off duty, including their status, location and next assignment.
Conduct daily roll call to account for every driver, confirming availability, rest compliance, fitness for duty and readiness for deployment.
Keep an accurate driver control register and flag any unaccounted-for, absent or overdue drivers to the Operations Lead.
Coordinate dispatch timing with Yard, Fleet Monitoring and Transit Management to minimise turnaround and idle time.
Implement and enforce load integrity controls on all southbound loads, including seal verification, weight/quantity confirmation and cargo securement checks.
Record and cross-check seal numbers at loading and against dispatch documentation to prevent tampering, shortfalls or unlawful disposal of cargo.
Immediately escalate any seal discrepancy, suspected interference or cargo variance to the Operations Lead and relevant departments.
Ensure driver compliance with planned transit times, approved routes and trip itineraries throughout each journey.
Monitor progress against schedule, identify deviations early, and follow up with drivers to keep movements on plan.
Conduct structured driver debriefs on return, capturing trip events, delays, exceptions and any control or compliance issues for the record.
Deliver and support driver training and briefings on operating procedures, load integrity, transit compliance and conduct expectations.
Reinforce standard operating procedures with new and existing drivers and identify recurring gaps requiring further training.
Act as the first point of control for issues arising in transit, including delays, breakdowns, border hold-ups, deviations and driver incidents.
Log all transit issues, actions taken and outcomes, and escalate unresolved or high-risk matters to the Operations Lead without delay

Qualifications:
Minimum of a Diploma in Transport / Logistics (or a closely related field).
Minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in a driver control, dispatch, fleet or transit coordination role.
