Project Assistant II

The appointee will work in the Wellness and Counselling Centre (WACC) of the Office of Student Affairs. Duties include (a) co-ordinating the support services for students with special educational needs (SEN); (b) assisting in the administration and implementation of student development programmes and activities related to peer support network and special educational needs; (c) preparing publicity materials for promotion of events and activities; (d) providing clerical support for general office administration; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education; (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) fast and accurate typing skill; (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua; (v) good interpersonal, communication and multi-tasking skills; (vi) proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Office and Zoom; and (vii) a responsible, independent, and hard-working attitude. Having knowledge of graphic design (Adobe Photoshop or Canva) is preferred. Prior experience in working with individuals with SEN would be an advantage. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for computer skills and/or written tests.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement
