Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer-Developer (Level 4) for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
5+ years of experience in software development.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, JavaScript) and familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)
Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and program managers
Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and system-level validation in complex software environments POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, the individual will support the development of mission software written in Java, C++, Python, ReactJS. The individual will collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to design and implement software solutions, ensure engineering excellence, and achieve program objectives.Duties may include (but are not limited to):
Design, develop, test, and maintain software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards
Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations
Develop, document, and maintain architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products
Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetings
Debug and resolve issues identified to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products
Perform software development, participate in code reviews, and adhere to guidance on software standards and design principles.
Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development
Develop, establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align with organization goals and industry benchmarks
Execute and document software research and development projects
Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
5+ years of experience developing complex software applications and algorithmic solutions
5+ years of experience leading software development
5+ years of experience with modern programming and scripting languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Visual Basic
1+ years of experience in a cloud computing environment e.g. Azure/AWS/Google Cloud
Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies. Ability to synthesize software architectures and designs that meet requirements, characteristics and constraints REQUIRED EDUCATION
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
WORK HOURS
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
