Summer Type Bus Drivers

Job Title

This position transports students by Type 10 / Type 20 vehicle (mini bus or SUV) in a safe and professional manner. Areas covered include Madras, Prineville, Redmond, and Bend.

Wages: Current wage, if this is your current position with the district.

Start Date: 06/30/2026

Program Dates:

ESY Summer Program: June 30 - July 16, 2026 Monday - Thursday

Summer Acceleration Camps: July 20 - August 6, 2026 Monday – Friday

Education, Experience and Certification/Licensure (Minimum Qualifications):

Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described within this job description

Be at least 18 years of age;

Hold a valid Type 10 or Type 20 Certificate - or have ability to obtain

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working as a school bus driver in a k-12 environment.

Experience working in a driver position in a non-school industry.

The ability to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR card.

Bilingual Spanish

Current bus driver for Jefferson County School District 509-J
