International Controller

Focus Search LLC is recruiting for an International Controller role with a mid-size US publicly traded company with offices in Kuala Lumpur, near Kerinchi Hill Forest Park.

This role will lead all International Accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and strong internal controls. This role oversees the month-end close process, manages a large global team, partners with auditors, and drives process improvements. This role will also be the Office Leader, responsible for the administrative aspects for the office of about 100 employees. The company works a hybrid schedule, in-office 3 days per week.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related, CPA preferred

12+ years progressive accounting experience

Strong technical understanding of US GAAP/IFRS/Local GAAP

Experience leading large teams across multiple groups/departments

Strong systems/process improvement mindset

Salary:

$300-350k MYR
