Builder/Driveline Technician

Summary:

The primary function of this position is to rebuild transfer cases.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Receives direction from team lead on priority of work.

Evaluate the core to determine appropriate critical components or any components that do not match the quality standard.

Add all components that were selected to be replaced to the Assembly Order (AO) document.

Ensure all inventoried components are listed on the AO document.

Follow build sheets or standard work instructions (as available) to complete all rebuild jobs.

Ensure the finished unit is in good working order and cosmetically pleasing

Clean out scrap bin and empty trash at work station as needed.

Inform maintenance when machinery breakdown occurs.

Maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Will conduct these responsibilities in a professional and timely manner.

Work closely with the Pre-Assembly Department to ensure quality and efficient builds

Other tasks as directed.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Basic automotive or mechanical skills

Familiarity and/or use of power tools

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to cross-train in other areas of the shop
