STP Operator

Experience

0-1 years of experience in STP operations or similar duties

Freshers are also encouraged to apply with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills

Educational Qualification

Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related field

Basic knowledge of water systems and pumping mechanisms

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor STP systems, including intake, screening, aeration, and filtration units

Perform daily inspection and maintenance of pumping stations and related infrastructure

Track and maintain process parameters such as pH levels, flow rates, and sludge levels

Document operations and any anomalies or equipment failures

Follow safety protocols and ensure adherence to operational standards

Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Basic understanding of water treatment processes and systems

Familiarity with water pumps, their operation, and maintenance

Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

Excellent attention to detail and observation skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting purposes

Nice to Have (Skills)

Hands-on experience with SCADA systems or wastewater monitoring tools

Certifications in pump operation or wastewater treatment (e.g., CPO – Certified Plant Operator)

Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures

Prior experience in STP units preferred

Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic system issues
