CNC Programmer

CAD/CAM Programmer (SolidWorks)

Columbus, OH 2nd Shift $70,000–$80,000 + Full Benefits

Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM (30-minute lunch)

Hours: Approximately 45–50 hours per week

If you're an experienced SolidWorks/CAD-CAM Programmer looking to join a stable, growing manufacturer, this is an outstanding opportunity to make an immediate impact. You'll work with advanced sheet metal fabrication equipment, programming Salvagnini lasers, punches, and press brakes while collaborating with a skilled engineering and production team.

What You'll Do

Create and optimize CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, and sheet metal bending equipment

Develop efficient toolpaths using SolidWorks and CAD/CAM software

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models

Improve existing programs to reduce cycle times and increase production efficiency

Validate programs through simulation and first-run testing

Partner with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot and improve manufacturing processes

Prepare setup sheets, tooling documentation, and program libraries

What We're Looking For

3+ years of CAD/CAM programming experience

Strong experience with SolidWorks (Fusion 360, Mastercam, CATIA, or similar software also considered)

Experience programming sheet metal fabrication equipment

Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T

Experience with CNC toolpath generation and manufacturing processes

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Experience with Salvagnini equipment is a significant plus

Knowledge of quality inspection tools and manufacturing best practices preferred
