Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Chicago, IL

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (2nd Shift) 3pm to 11pm

Pay: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

We’re hiring a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician for a busy manufacturing plant in Chicago. We need someone hands-on who can step right in, keep the lines running, and handle both mechanical and electrical breakdowns when they happen.

The role:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Troubleshooting AC/DC drives, motors, gearboxes, belts, rollers, steam systems, and servo systems.

Perform PLC fault finding and basic troubleshooting on live production lines.

Reading schematics, electrical prints, and fluid power diagrams.

Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring mechanical/electrical issues to implement long-term solutions.

Log all maintenance tasks, parts, and work orders within the facility CMMS.

Adhere strictly to plant safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA protocols.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

High school diploma, technical degree or certification

Strong background with electrical and mechanical equipment

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and handle physical work around plant machinery
