Position Overview: The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing individualized instruction to support students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will create a positive learning environment, collaborate with staff and parents, and ensure compliance with state and federal special education guidelines. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities

Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success

Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed

Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Maintain accurate records and documentation required by law and district policy

Participate in ARD meetings and collaborate with campus personnel to support student achievement

Promote positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree (required)

Valid Texas Special Education certification (required or ability to obtain)

Experience working with students with special needs (preferred)

Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Commitment to helping all students achieve their full potential

Citizenship, residency or work visa required
