NC Machinist Trainee

Trainee N/C Machinist ‘B’

The training program you are applying for is described below.

Candidates will be required to complete a math skills assessment.

The program is comprised of 12-15 months of on-the-job training (OJT) and 201 hours of industrial related classes.

OJT will commence as soon as practicable.

Starting wage rate for Trainees is Labor Grade 5.

Upon successful completion of the Training Program candidates will be eligible to bid on Labor Grade 3 positions.

Requirements:

High School Graduate, with proven knowledge of right-angle trigonometry, geometry, and basic shop math.

Mechanically inclined

Computer literate

Ability to learn various N/C systems.

Previous Machining experience would be an asset.
