Extrusion Operator

The Extrusion department is responsible for operating and monitoring aluminum extrusion presses to produce high-quality profiles according to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate extrusion press equipment

Monitor temperature, pressure, and speed during extrusion process

Load billets and assist with die changes

Inspect extruded material for defects and dimensional accuracy

Prepare extruded material for aging process

Work closely with press crew (pullers, handlers, saw operators)

Maintain production efficiency and minimize downtime

Follow all safety and operational procedures

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred

Manufacturing or heavy equipment experience preferred

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

Ability to read measurements and blueprints

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in high-heat industrial environments

Lift up to 50 lbs

Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
