Industrial Mill Electrician
The Industrial Mill Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment supporting mill operations, including crushing, conveying, grinding, pumping, and process control systems. This role is critical to ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation in a heavy industrial/mining environment.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent experience
Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience (mining or heavy industry preferred)
Strong knowledge of:
Industrial power distribution systems
Motors, drives, and control circuits
Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Experience working with PLCs and industrial automation systems
Strong understanding of safety practices in industrial environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in mining, concentrator, or processing plants
Familiarity with SAG mills, crushers, and large pumping systems
Experience with high-voltage systems
Instrumentation experience (flow, pressure, level, etc.)
Experience with CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work performed in a heavy industrial environment (dust, noise, heat, and outdoor conditions)
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and respond to callouts as needed
