Job Description:
Significant experience in both systems engineering and software development Proficient in at least one of the infrastructure disciplines and functions:
Internals of distributed operating system (Unix/Linux, Windows, Z/OS) internals
Systems programming
Network programming
Experience in large scale software development in one or more of the programming languages (C, C++, Perl, Python, Java, C#,.NET)
Enterprise scale and resiliency
Experience in system and software security and entitlements (SSO, windows, Kerberos, LDAP, Windows AD)
Modern compute technologies (e.g., virtualization, cloud)
Experience with Agile development process and automated testing
Experience working across large infrastructure environments and distributed across multiple data centers
Experience in end-to-end systems automation and orchestration
Experience in systems and application monitoring systems and instrumentation
Roles and Responsibilities:
Windows hardware certification (server / workstation)
Windows OS platform certification
Windows endpoint automation (Scripting / development)
Additional Skills:
Significant experience in both systems engineering and software development
Must have demonstrated application of SDLC/development knowledge using modern methods (code creation/unit testing/version control – C#/.NET)
Advanced-level scripting experience on windows platform (PowerShell scripting/automation practices)
Ability to deliver production level code with comprehensive error handling and logging, ability to read and understand multi-1000 line scripted processes
Advanced-level expertise in networking boot transmission protocols and programming in a cloud environment
PXE boot/bare metal build process as a requirement, must have:
Hands on experience with WDS or other similar deployment services
Deep understanding of low-level PC hardware and functionality (especially hardware-enhanced security and remote manageability features provided by Client vPro or similar) and network stack (e.g. DHCP, ip helper, boot loader and bootp configuration) Programmatic software/application integration and hardware abstraction experience for integration on mass scale include use and integration of enterprise peripheral USB attached devices into imaging processes Modern compute technologies (e.g., virtualization, cloud) Experience with Agile development process and automated testing Experience working across large infrastructure environments and distributed across multiple data centers Experience in end-to-end systems automation and orchestration Experience in systems and application monitoring systems and instrumentation
